Our opinion: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Basic but ideal for dinosaur lovers.
We chose this night light for our grandson who is in his dinosaur period. Like often eight-year-olds, he loves dinosaurs and all the wonders of space.
This night light is an adorable little colored lamp that projects still or moving images of dinosaurs, volcanoes or stars on the ceiling and walls.
This night light is quite basic: a base, the lamp itself which is a beautiful dinosaur egg, a cable and .... beautiful bright colors.
There are two possible uses with this egg: either you keep it closed and light it, or you open it and choose a plastic bubble that will project silhouettes (dinosaurs, stars)
In the first case, where the egg is closed, the effect is very soft and quite aesthetic, it gives a beautiful shiny egg that diffuses a tender light.
In the second case, the egg will project drawings on the wall and ceiling thanks to two covers available in the shape of a half-sphere.
You can choose between different colors and you can animate the egg with a rotation too.
The handling is super simple and the buttons are very self-explanatory. The projection on the wall is of a fairly average quality, it's a shame at this price, I must say that I am disappointed.
The other point is that you should not expect a sound or musical atmosphere, it is only a light projection; This can be perfect and sufficient, but some children will need music to fall asleep.
One detail though: if you have a child who is a little brusque or clumsy, you will surely like to handle the projection globes yourself, which are made of fairly light plastic. They seem quite fragile to me.
To sum up, I find the effect quite nice and if you have a middle ceiling, it will surely be very good. Here, the ceiling of our rooms is very high and the projection can only be done on the walls. In addition, I find the price (a little less than thirty euros) a bit high because in the end, it's only about projected colors and silhouettes. Similar lamps are available at lower prices.
This one has the advantage of being very dinosaur!
I recommend this original night light that offers two modes of light, either diffused or projected with silhouettes.
